Beaches Backpackers 3 Day Camping Safari
Beaches Backpackers offers a 3 day 2 night Self Drive Tour that includes camping at their exclusive ‘Base Camp’. This is the only company with their own private campsite. drive fraser ... stay Base Camp! Base camp has hot showers, toilets, undercover area, barbeque and picnic tables and an onsite café. It also means you only have to set up your tent once and have more time exploring the island.
Your tour includes your Toyota Troop Carrier with roof racks, briefing (4pm day before departure), all camping and cooking gear, return ferry, National Park permits, Itineraries and maps.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Drivers must be at least 21 and have an International Drivers license.
- A $750 security bond is taken on a nominated person in the groups’ credit card and is returned upon a vehicle inspection after the tour is completed.
- Insurance of $20 per person will be taken during your briefing. This reduces the excess on the vehicle if there is an accident from $5000 to $1000.
- A $15 per person payment is required at the time of briefing for National Park fees and insurance & gas.
- Food will be purchased by the group after the briefing (usually around $20-30 per person).
The price of this tour is $135 plus the extras listed above.
You can add 2 or 4 nights accommodation at Beaches Hervey Bay for an additional $20 and $55 respectively, with the $55 payment allowing you 2 nights at Beaches Airlie Beach and 2 nights at Hervey Bay.
