Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat
Discover World Heritage Listed Fraser Island with Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat as your ideal base. The Retreat consists of 9 timber lodges that are nestled into the hillside at Happy Valley. Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat is located midway along the 75-mile surf beach of Fraser Island and close to Eli Creek, the Maheno Shipwreck, Coloured Sands, rainforest & freshwater lakes.
The Retreat provides comfort and privacy for its guests with a swimming pool and BBQ area within the complex and bushwalking, swimming and fishing all nearby.
The Retreat allows guests the option to cater for themselves or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Satinay Bar and Bistro. The Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and provides snacks and takeaway meals throughout the day.
Features of the Retreat include Individual timber lodges, 200m from the beach at Happy Valley, Swimming Pool, Barbeque, Bar, Bistro and General Store.
All lodges are fully serviced with cooking facilities, balconies and TV/Video.
Nestled into the hillside are individual lodges that have been constructed from Fraser Island timbers. Each have a verandah and offer 24 hour power, cooking facilities, TV / video, kitchenette, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and are serviced daily.
Amongst the landscaped gardens is a BBQ/entertaining area and a timber decked swimming pool. The main complex comprises a convenience store that stocks grocery lines, fuel and bottleshop supplies with EFTPOS facilities available. The licensed Satinay Bar & Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Coach, air transfers and 4WD hire are available, bookings are essential.
